Kintsugi: an age-old Japanese technique that honours the special relationship between old and new emphasising the new with gold.

I came to kintsugi some years ago when I was asked to repair a broken teacup that belonged to a friend’s grandmother.

This philosophy — finding beauty in repair rather than disposal — has never been more relevant.
It speaks to sustainability, preserving fading craft traditions, and shifting how we think about the objects in their lives.

Changing the world one piece at a time.

Below are some of the pieces with new life bringing joy to their owners.
